Apparently some of Brad Pitt’s “Make It Right” Foundation’s homes were made with a sub-par product that is already showing signs of rotting and decay, and they’re only a couple of years old. Here’s a link to the Huffington Post article on it.
Kind if interesting idea and a very modern tabernacle, really neat looking.
Lately, I’ve been looking at a lot of sustainable construction, recycled materials, cheap materials, tiny houses, etc. It seems a lot of these ideas/techniques get “tested” on the poor or displaced.
I seem to remember Paula and maybe a few other people (Sean maybe) talking about how they enjoyed Brutalist Architecture. Ran into this early this morning, and while its not a commentary on much, it is a nice series of photos on abandoned homes designed by Paul Rudolph.
